THE CONSTRAINTS OF STYLE)
General rules for the Competition:
The stage measures approx.90 sq.mt (9X10),it has a
PVC carpet, black backcloth and wings and fixed par
floodlights.

The timetable for the rehearsals, only and
exclusively fot the baby category
will be communicated in
due time by the Competition Organization as soon
as all applications will have been received.
Rehearsals are not planned for the others
categories
Music cab be played live or recorded on
CD
Each choreography must have a corresponding CD and
it cannot include any
other pieces of music in the
competition.
A backup
copy of the CD is recommended
The choreography to be presented is
completely
free, it is necessary to give a correct
specification of the style at the time of
application.
The competitors will be divided into three categories:
BABY
dancers born as
from 1998
JUNIOR dancers born from
1994 to 1997
SENIOR dancers born 1993
or earlier
Candidates in categories
BABY and JUNIORS must provide an identity document
The age
considered for group dancers will be the age of the
majority of the participants.
Only 20% of the group in the BABY category can
consist of elements born before 1998. (Juniores
Category)
Each School can
present one or more choreographies
,in
the same style too, but
with the majority formed by different dancers ( the
same dancers can perform more times but in different
sections)
The maximum time for each single piece in the group
category (3 dancers minimum )absolutely cannot be
more than 5 minutes.
Soloists can perform only one free or repertoire
variation within the same section. Maximum time
granted 3 minutes. They can also take part in a
group and
of one duo/couple. Maximun time for couples/duo
5 minutes
The decisions of the Judges are final and without
appeal.
The jury reserves the right to make further
subdivisions
or
join together
the section, to avoid awarding all
the prizes or, vice-versa, award special mentions.
It is not allowed to use bulky stage props and any
sort of make up or other substance that could damage
the flooring and, therefore, cause problems to the
competitors.
Banned the use of talcum powder
It is forbidden to take videos and photographs
during the performance of the competitors unless by
staff authorized by the Competition Organization.
The candidate admitted to the contest automatically
authorizes the Competition Organization to make use
of his proper image for promotional purposes, TV
shots and the press.
All travelling, board and lodging expenses will be
taken in charge by the participants.
All points in the application form for the
Competition must be carefully filled in, this can
also be done directly on line.
Applications will be accepted in the chronological
order of time at which they are received. Excess
applications may be refused.
Exclusion from the
Competition will be promptly communicated to the
representatives of the Schools.
Participation
expenses will be reimbursed only and exclusively in
this particular case.
All competitors must have a good health certificate
and minors must have the consent of parents.
